Chanel style for Barbie

I found a really beautiful tweed fabric to make Chanel-style garmens for Barbie and Poppy Parker, as this magnificent jacket and skirt suit.

Encontré una tela de tweed realmente preciosa para hacer algunas prendas estilo Chanel para Barbie y Poppy Parker, como este magnífico conjunto de chaqueta y falda.

Pin-up Barbie

With the Convention and Pin-up style still in mind, no-one suits better than Barbie "Silkstone - Debut (N5006)".

Sigo pensando en la Convención y por tanto en el estilo pin-up. Y nadie mejor para lucirlo que la Barbie "Silkstone - Debut (N5006)".

The beautiful dresser by Marcia Harrys. The floor I printed on glossy A 3 cardboard a design imitating marble. The background I added with Photoshop, both texture and grip pattern. The paintings are photos from IKEA website, changing the mat tone and the blue butterflies.

El precioso tocador es de Marcia Harrys. El suelo lo imprimí en cartulina con brillo tamaño A-3, con un dibujo que imita el mármol. Y el fondo lo añadí con Photoshop: tanto la textura como los cuadros. Para los cuadros tomé una foto de la web de IKEA, cambié un poco la tonalidad del passepartout y le puse las mariposas azules.

Dress inspired in "Silkstone - The Shopgirl".

Este vestido está inspirado en el de la "Silkstone - The Shopgirl".

The figure is the "Silkstone - Cocktail Dress", one of the most beautiful in my opinion. I watched a video at Bonequea blog, this Barbie appeared  in the Shopgirl dress and I was struck, so I asked Sandra for the models.

La muñeca es la "Silkstone - Cocktail Dress", para mi gusto una de las más bonitas que existen. Vi un video en el blog de Bonequea en el que aparecía esta Barbie con el vestido de la Shopgirl y tuve un flechazo total, así que le pregunté a Sandra qué modelos eran.

Dress fits beautifully, and is easy to dress or remove with the velcro strip on the back.

El vestido sienta de maravilla y se puede poner y quitar muy fácilmente porque va cerrado con velcro por detrás.

Bodies para Barbie y Poppy

This body is just as suitable for a party, as for office, as to be combined with a denim skirt. On top of this, its Velcro fastener in the neck makes it very easy to take on and off.

Este body sirve tanto para ir de fiesta, como para ir a la oficina, como para combinar con una falda vaquera. Además como tiene velcro en cuello resulta muy fácil de poner y quitar.

Armario de Barbie Y3354

I had been following this wardrobe for a while now, but I was unable to find it in Spain. I eventually found it for sale inAmazon.es: I wasted no time 😊

Llevaba tiempo detrás de este armario, pero no lo encontraba en España. Hasta que lo pusieron a la venta en Amazon.es: me faltó tiempo para comprarlo 😊

I didn’t quite like any of the wallpapers that came with it, and since I absolutely love Silkstone’s wardrobe, and it had already been discontinued :’( I decided to make one that looked the same: it’s available for DOWNLOAD VIA THIS LINK, to then be printed in an A3 sheet. I used 250g glossy cardboard, and even my so-so inkjet printer was able to deliver a flawless result.

The ground, imitation of marble, can be DOWNLOADED VIA THIS LINK and printed just in the same way: A3, 250g glossy cardboard.

The model is a "Silkstone - Tweed indeed" (J0958) Barbie and her dress can be found on our Etsy shop.

Los fondos que trae no me convencían mucho... y como me chifla el armario de Silkstone (ya descatalogado, snif), hice un fondo igual: podéis DESCARGARLO EN ESTE ENLACE e imprimirlo en A3. Yo usé cartulina con brillo de 250 g y, aunque mi impresora es de chorro de tinta y normalita, quedó perfecto.

Barbie en la oficina

This here is a "Look – Sweet Tea" (DGY08) Barbie. When I saw Mattel’s pictures of it I didn’t like it at all and I wasn’t planning on getting her… until I saw Sandra’s pictures on her blog. Mattel’s pictures (and bangs) definitely didn’t make her justice. I got her, removed her bangs using tweezers and I gave her the hair treatment I already explained using hair mask and boiling water.

Esta Barbie es la "Look – Sweet Tea" (DGY08). Cuando vi las fotos de Mattel no me gustó nada y no pensaba comprarla... hasta que la vi en el blog de Sandra. Definitivamente las fotos de Mattel (y el flequillo) no le hacían justicia. La compré, le arranqué el flequillo como pude con ayuda de unas pinzas de depilar y le hice el "tratamiento capilar" que expliqué aquí de mascarilla y agua hiviendo.

She has quite a special face, reminiscent of those big-eyed Asian dolls with pursed-lips. She’s different to any other Barbie.

Tiene una cara muy especial, me recuerda a las muñecas asiáticas con ojos grandes y boquita de piñón. Es muy diferente de cualquier otra Barbie.

This here is "Look – Party Perfect" (DGY13) Barbie. She only recently arrived home, but she has quickly become one of my personal favorites for obvious reasons ♥

The floor was ordered from MenutmonShop by email (amparo@menutmon.com), a Spanish shop. Size is 48x65cm and it was €35.

The shelving was purchased from Furniture for Dolls (Etsy).

Some of the books and magazines are printables I downloaded from Bonequea. Others are my own.

I made the armchair by myself. Tutorial here.

The paintings were added in Photoshop.

Esta Barbie es la "Look – Party Perfect" (DGY13). Llegó hace poco (la compré en Juguetes Dámaso) y se ha convertido en una de mis preferidas por razones evidentes ♥

El suelo se lo encargué a MenutmonShop por email (amparo@menutmon.com). Es una tienda española. Mide 48 x 65 cm y me costó 35 €.

Barbie Red Carpet BCP87

Esta belleza es la Barbie Red Carpet Gold Gown (BCP87) y se ha convertido en una de mis preferidas. Es espectacular. La venden en Amazon a un precio estupendo.

Cuando llegó tenía el pelo muy enmarañado, así que probé a lavarlo, peinarlo y ponerle aceite de oliva... pero no quedó demasiado bien. Ayer seguí el consejo que me dio Javi Fernández hace poco (¡gracias!) y lo lavé, le puse mascarilla suavizante para el pelo, lo sumergí varias veces en agua hirviendo, lo enjuagué, lo peiné y ¡está perfecto! súper suave y desenredado. Además se le ve más largo porque el rizo se ha suavizado bastante.

El body color crudo que lleva es una preciosidad y está ya en nuestra tienda online. La falda de imitación ante también es de nuestra tienda, así como la gabardina a juego.

Barbie Silkstone articulada DKN07

No me puede gustar más esta nueva Barbie. La tengo sentada en mi escritorio desde que llegó a casa ♥ ♥ ♥.  La compré en Amazon.es en preventa por 65,44 €. Ya en las fotos de Mattel me parecía maravillosa y en mano me resulta aún más bonita. Y estoy feliz, feliz, feliz de que sea articulada y pueda posar en condiciones :-)

En estas fotos lleva puesto nuestro jersey de cuello alto negro y nuestra falda de lentejuelas. Las botas son de Barbie Urban Jungle (DGY07). El perrito es del New York Yorkie accesory pack. El fantástico tocador es de Marcia Harrys, los cosméticos son de Re-ment y la silla la compré en eBay.

¿Verdad que es una preciosidad?
